  1. That thing she said about type O blood types needing meat and animal protein is completely untrue. My blood type is O+ and I'm a vegan and there's nothing wrong with my health. If anything, my health improved by going vegan – I was prediabetic before and had a high risk of developing diabetes (the risk factors were there). Now, my blood sugar is normal and my blood pressure is always a healthy 120/80. I even feel happier on a spiritual level because I know none of my actions are causing violence

  7. I'm glad you O blood types responded that vegan and macro can work for you. I am O blood type and just don't eat much meat at all, and am drawn to a more vegetarian diet, and am considering going more macro biotic…  I would like to loose some weight too…

  9. O blood type here! Macrobiotic for several years before going back to SAD. Back on it again. I lost a moderate to large amount of fat, but it did take time and I didn't do resistance training, mostly cardiovascular and I wasn't as stringent.

  10. This is incorrect information. Macrobiotics is NOT a weight loss diet! I studied Macrobiotics at The Kushi Institute several years ago and we were taught that this way of eating is for bring the body back into BALANCE. A lot of illness begins with eating the wrong foods or too much of a certain type of food and not enough of life-sustaining foods. Yes, it is a lifestyle, and yes, it CAN be spiritual if you want that, but it's simply choosing foods that support your health, and it is can be a bit complicated to learn. Your weight might be a symptom of your body's imbalance, so you MIGHT lose weight eating this way, however it is NOT a "weight loss diet." People who are very sick with cancer, diabetes, etc. have found healing through the Macrobiotic way of eating. Healing the body is the essence of Macrobiotics.
